What is complimentary therapy? Is complimentary therapy beneficial or just some type of scam? Does it cost a lot of money to attend a complementary therapy treatment? In this article I will be answering these questions in my own mini guide to complimentary therapy.

What are you attempting to sell here? You may be thinking. Well absolutely nothing; in fact I do not even work in the area of alternative therapy; I am a person who runs stammering courses here in the UK; I also work on projects to do with DVD authoring and business cost reduction.

Gone are the days when complimentary therapy was just something that hippies tried, that was back in the nineteen sixties. It is now actually quite hip and trendy to attend these types of treatments and what’s more they do work.

Complimentary therapy is basically what is says on the label, it is therapy that compliments your more traditional health treatments via for example a doctor.

The favourite of these complimentary therapy treatments for me personally has to be an Indian Head Massage. I live life in the fast line; this is generally a good thing however living life this way does have its down sides. I do not feel that I am stressed however the stress comes from trying to fit everything that I need to do into twenty-four hours and to keep all of my family, friends and business contacts happy. I am a person who thinks that it is a good idea to give your body a treat from to time; some people do this by possibly over-indulging in food I choose to go and have an Indian Head Massage treatment every four weeks or so.

I also, perhaps once every three months, attend a reflexology treatment. I have to admit that I was quite wary when I first attended reflexology as the thought of another person messing about with my feet was nothing something that particularly inspired me. In the end, I must admit, that I enjoyed every minute of it and I even booked another session prior to leaving to go home.

As for cost, I personally feel that it is quite cheap, an Indian head massage at my local natural health centre is only £25, this is for a treatment which lasts about an hour.

I am now starting to become quite adventurous and guess what form of alternative therapy I have booked myself in for next week? Aromatherapy - I will write another article to let you all know how it went.
